2 years ago my kids and I went Veg and over a year and a half ago I decided to try to be vegan. I have noticed on Facebook that a lot of my friends are trying different diets like this. Some are doing it to lose weight, some for more energy, and some found out they have an allergy to the foods they have been eating. One of my friends has given up gluten and dairy. Her naturopath says it is contributing to her lack of sleep and is making her thyroid go wacky.
I often wonder about these things. I know I gave up meat for health reasons, but it has escalated to moral reasons, but what about all these diets makes one better than the other? Am I really making the best health choice or does Jane Doe have a better plan by not eating bread? It feels like the Atkins days with ADD. There is always a new diet out there that will cure all of your sickness and make you lose weight, but instead of one fad diet I see 100.
